Welcome (or welcome back to the original readers) to my blog 2.0. After an 8 year pause, I’ve decided through the encoragement of friends and a desire to write more, that I’m going to resume my blog. I promise future posts will be a lot more fun, but to start, here’s a little intro FAQ.
What is this?
In the past I wrote about both my travels and just interesting things I noticed while out and about. This included things like history, recycling systems of other countries, food, and pretty pictures.
The new blog will have a lot of the same, but given the point I’m at in my life and that I’m revisiting a lot of places, be ready for a bit of introspection as well.
Why am I blogging again?
The past few years have felt like being trapped in a dryer full of razor blades, every time I think things are finally going right, the dryer turns and I have to start healing all over again. Throughout all that it’s been so easy to focus on the negative, especially the mistakes old versions of me made. One goal of mine this year, has been reincorporating the parts of the old me that I miss and that I didn’t appreciate at the time back into my routine. One of those was having this creative outlet. I didn’t realize how much joy it brought into my life until recently.
How often are you posting?
To start, I’ll be aiming for every day, just to catch up on my travels thus far. If that changes I’ll be sure to say, but if I ghost at any point and you’re actually reading this, please call me out on it.
Final remarks
Just two final things before I conclude for today, tomorrow I’ll start recapping my travels, which again I promise will be much more fun to read.
- I truly do love when people leave comments, but please don’t feel obligated to keep up with reading this or comment at all. I just appreciate you stopping in from time to time.
- I am painfully aware that I am an atrocious copy editor. While I do my best to reread before posting, my ADHD makes it difficult at times to even spot my mistakes and I have no desire to use AI to edit. If you really can’t understand my meaning, please ask, but otherwise please excuse mispellings, incorrect versions of their/there/they’re and anything else that my brain ends up doing.
